For a movie fanatic such as myself, visiting a cafe named Rick's Cafe featured in the movie Casablanca is fantabulous. Casablanca can be described as iconic and classic with memorable lines of dialogue--the most memorable quoted dialogue, "Play it again, Sam" is misquoted more often than not; iconic stars Ingrid Bergman, Humphrey Bogart and Claude Rains; and a classic song, "As Time Goes By".
Rad claims that Casablanca wasn't filmed in Casablanca but on a studio lot in Hollywood. The next thing you know is that someone will tell me that The Wizard of Oz and Star Wars weren't filmed on location either.
One thing I know that definitely is in Casablanca is Rick's Cafe, a direct reference to Rick's Cafe Americain in the movie. And here we are having dinner in that very place. But where's the movie poster and daybills and memorabilia?

No matter how much we searched to get a glimpse of Humphrey Bogart , he was nowhere to be seen. Maybe we'll see him another time as time goes by. Good fun and so much food in true Maria-style. People in the know will know what Maria-style is.

If you haven't seen this iconic movie, where have you been? You need to go to any streaming service you can find and see this film before I'm forced to round up the usual suspects and make you watch the movie. Bogart! Bergman! Love! Betrayal! All set against the backdrop of a World War.
